A camera to transform ordinary "records" into "memories."

From trivial moments to special occasions, the kyu camera allows you to focus on the people and experiences of the moment, rather than just taking pictures, creating memories that are uniquely yours, and no one else's.

Everyone takes countless photos and videos now. While that in itself is wonderful, the vast amount of data stored in clouds and hard drives that may never be looked at again feels like fast fashion. kyu reconsiders the value of capturing memories and aims to preserve them more beautifully and sustainably.

Our product is designed to easily create high-quality memories. When considering updates, the "features we don't include" are as important as, or even more important than, the features we do include. For example, we do not provide tools for pursuing or expressing creativity or artistic quality. Nor do we have feeds that unnecessarily stir emotions and encourage endless scrolling.

solution

Digitising memories — efficiently, and with care for what they feel like.

We all take a great many photos and videos now. That in itself is wonderful, but the vast archives sitting in the cloud or on a hard drive, much of it never looked at again, begin to resemble fast fashion.

kyu rethinks what it is worth to capture a memory, and aims to keep it more beautifully, and for longer.

feature — four steps to keeping a memory

001 · Create an album

Create an album for each experience you want to keep. Invite family, friends or your partner, and share the memories you record.

002 · Focus on the experience

There is nothing special you need to do in order to record. Press the button, intuitively, whenever something feels worth keeping.

003 · Intuitive, comfortable transfer

Connect the memory unit directly to your smartphone to transfer your memories to the kyu app.

004 · One press of a button

Memories recorded from each perspective, on kyu camera and in the kyu app, come together into a highlight video with a single button. It may not be the kind of creative video anyone envies, but it should be enough to look back on.
