Meeting GIU GIU

Our founder first met GIU GIU when they were visiting "OHAYO" in Okayama, where designer Giuliana Leila Raggiani was an artist in residency, for their installation of "GIU GIU House いえ" . From there, they gradually started keeping in touch and came to understand each other's values.

Reunion in Kyoto

Time passed, and they reunited when GIU GIU returned to Kyoto, where the brand is now based.
At the time they met in Okayama, it was still uncertain whether the kyu camera could be manufactured, but the project progressed smoothly, eventually leading to the proposal for a collaboration.
GIU GIU is a brand that carries on the legacy left by her grandmother, or "Nonna" in Italian, embodying a unique and conscious lifestyle with a nostalgic perspective and a focus on simplicity.
We are truly happy to collaborate with such a wonderful brand.

Pochettino

Because our brand core values are so closely aligned, this collaboration was much smoother than you may expect.

Respecting GIU GIU’s existing item, the "NONNA pochette, we together created a pochette that perfectly fits and snugs the kyu camera.The cold texture of the kyu camera's aluminum, is wrapped in the warmth of GIU GIU's signature ribbed knit, making it so soft in the hands and a joy to carry it everyday.

It comes in two colors: ONYX, (like the jet-black stone) and PISCINE ( a cool & refreshing "swimming pool" blue) , both brand colors of kyu.
